Udemy is an online course learning and teaching platform where students can learn a variety of lessons, lessons that are built by professionals on that topic. There are over 150,000 Udemy courses available for users to learn and those courses include electronic automation, data science, e-commerce and even cyber security. Beginner students are taught to excel at the fundamentals of the topic. With its over 45 million students and 60 thousand teachers, Udemy has laid its claim on being the number one online learning platform over its competitors like Coursera or Skillshare.

Even with the wealth of courses that are available in Udemy, students don’t have access to all of it. This is because there are some exclusive courses that are only available for users in a certain location. You won’t be able to enroll in those courses as long as you’re not located in the specific region that has access to that course. The best way to change your location is to use a Udemy proxy to replace your real IP.

A Udemy proxy acts as an intermediary between your device and the internet. The IP address of the proxy server will be the one seen by any websites you visit and your own IP address will be hidden. Through geo-targeting, you can change this IP address to any location in the world. For example, you have an American IP and you want to enroll in a Udemy course that’s only available to a European IP. You can use a Udemy proxy to change your IP to a European one, giving you access to that course you want.

The best Udemy proxies to use would be residential proxies as these types of proxies use residential IPs from actual devices. This completely deceives any website, including Udemy, into thinking that you’re actually a real user from that location. They won’t be able to recognize that you’re using a proxy and you won’t get banned for it.

We’ll show you a step-by-step guide on installing a Udemy proxy server.

Note: A reminder to make sure that the web browser you’re using for Udemy is set to automatically copy your system’s proxy settings. It’s recommended to use Google Chrome because it automatically does this.

Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Select which proxy IP protocol you want to configure. This depends on which protocols your proxy service provider offers.
  2. Turn on Secure Web Proxy
  3. Input the Proxy Server Address and Port Number
  4. Click OK to save the configurations

Note: You may be prompted for your Mac user password to save your settings.

For Mobile:

To configure mobile Udemy proxies, simply change your phone’s proxy settings. The Udemy app will copy your phone’s proxy settings whenever you use it. This is applicable for both Android and IOS. Here’s a thorough guide for Android and another one for iPhone.

Congratulations! You have now finished configuring your Udemy proxy server. Note that the first time you visit it, there will be a pop up asking for your login credentials.
