Most recognized as a provider of original music videos to Youtube, Vevo is a multinational video hosting service. It is a joint venture owned by multiple companies and it’s also partnered with various video streaming platforms where you can watch all the video content that Vevo has produced. You can even watch Vevo through Samsung or Apple TV. Through Vevo, new and upcoming artists can also reach a wider audience and have multiple ways to advertise their music.

Although the love for music is universal, Vevo is only available in certain countries. Music lovers that are living in a location where Vevo is blocked won’t be able to access it. Even if you’re just visiting that country, you still won’t be able to access Vevo due to geo-blocking. However, through the use of a Vevo proxy, you will also be able to enjoy Vevo. A Vevo proxy will act as an intermediary between your device and the internet. Any of your requests will be sent through the proxy server. This means that any website you visit will only be able to see the IP address of the proxy server and not your own IP address.

Through geo-targeting, you can change your location by choosing a proxy server in that location. For example, you have a Chinese IP so you can’t access Vevo as it’s banned there. So you connect to an American proxy server to make your IP American. Now, you will be able to unblock Vevo as it will see the American IP and not your Chinese IP.

The best Vevo proxies and the most reliable ones to use would be residential proxies as these types of proxies use genuine residential IPs from actual devices. So, whenever you use these proxies, any website will think that you’re actually coming from that location. Vevo, and any other website, will not be able to recognize the fact that you’re using a proxy.

Let’s set up a Vevo proxy server.

Note: Make sure that the web browser you’re using for Vevo is set to automatically copy your computer’s proxy settings. Google Chrome automatically does this, so it’s recommended to use it.

Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Select which proxy IP protocol you want to configure. This depends on which protocols your proxy service provider offers.
  2. Turn on Secure Web Proxy
  3. Input the Proxy Server Address and Port Number
  4. Click OK to save the configurations

Note: You may be prompted for your Mac user password to save your settings.
